SAT Tips: Memorize Your Prepositional Verbs
I was going through a lesson and reviewing some SAT tips the other day, when I realized the frequency with which the SAT tests prepositional errors, and the lack of attention ETS gives them.
I think they’re trying to sneak them in, or they’re trying to downplay their significance because the only way to identify a prepositional error is by memorizing a list of prepositions and matching verbs.
Example:
Neither I nor my brothers enjoy learning with math as much as we enjoy learning about other subjects.
Error: “learning WITH” should be “learning ABOUT“.
So think about it next time you see a preposition underlined on the test.
